Residents that included members of indigenous community of far-flung Barangay Biaan will now have fast access to basic health services with the opening of the village’s Tribal Health Center.
Mariveles Mayor AJ Concepcion and National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Provincial Officer Atty. Richard Piaga led the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the health facility on Tuesday.
Municipal Administrator Tito Catipon and Councilor Susan Madla-Murillo joined the ceremony.
Providing accessible health services to people of Mariveles is a priority program of the leadership tandem of Concepcion and Vice Mayor Lito Rubia. The Sangguniang Bayan headed by Rubia fully backs the municipal health initiatives for Mariveles folks. Municipal Health Officer Dr. Gerald Sebastian and Biaan Punong Barangay Rodelio Gutierrez were also present in the said event.
